I have noticed a recent sharp rise in helicopter noise over my neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights–at all times of day, but for the last two weeks it has been really bad early in the morning (4 – 5 am) and the weekends (5-30 and 6-6-09) have seen nonstop to-ing and fro-ing.

Several helicopters overhead. I live at 28th Street and 8th Avenue, 19th floor, facing west. Helicopters flying along River and then circling back uptown after they reach downtown area. Two and three helicopters flying overhead all afternoon, noisy!!!
